Tarte has been releasing great new products left and right. But as you all know, I’m a sucker for an eyeshadow palette and these two new releases were no exception. Read on for my review and swatches of the Maneater and Don’t Quit Your Daydream Palettes.
The Maneater Palette is currently unavailable on Tarte’s website since it was limited edition. However, I did still find it in stock on Amazon. I love the color range in this palette and I think it will create soft daytime looks as well as smokier looks for evening. The textures of the shadows are really nice as well. Very pigmented and smooth with minimal fall out. The packaging is small and compact enough to travel with and has a nice sized mirror. I love the animal print as well. So fun. If this sells out on Amazon, they also have a newly released Sex Kitten Palette. I’m not as drawn to that one but it still has a nice range of colors and is on the smokier side.
The Don’t Quit Your Daydream Palette is a bit warmer than the Maneater Palette and has beautiful rose gold tones in it. I also find that it’s a bit softer and daytime appropriate while still being able to add a bit of smokiness with the one darker matte brown. Again, as with the Maneater, the textures and pigmentation are great. Packaging is the same as well except this one is a very summer appropriate hot pink.
Both of these are wonderful palettes! Great packaging, great shadows. You don’t necessarily need both but if you’re a hoarder like me, you kind of do…
