17 in 2017 Project Pan Finale

We made it to the finale! Woo! I am so proud of my progress during this challenge. Not only has it helped me get more use out of products but I’ve also realized what types of products I love using and what I’m okay with de-cluttering or tossing. I’m really excited about my 2018 Project Pan (stay tuned for that post) but for now, let’s see where we’re at!

1. FINISHED Rollerball Perfume – Replica-Beach Walk

2. Mac Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Lorelei

This is rolling over to my 2018 Project Pan. It’s very densely packed and when the pan gets shallow it’s been a bit crumbly so that’s where a lot of the pan has come from. The color is beautiful even though it requires a bit of building up.  A product like this has made me realize that I don’t always need to buy something because of the packaging. I’m happy with my progress so far and I’ll continue to use it going into next year.

3. DECLUTTERED Cream Product- Benefit Majorette Blush

4. FINISHED Item you Love/Hate – Nest- Amazon Lily Perfume

5. FINISHED Highlighter- Smashbox- Hollywood & Highlight Stick

6. FINISHED Loose Powder Product – Tarte-Smooth Operator Loose Powder

7. DECLUTTERED – Something you haven’t used in a year- Korres Lip Butter- Plum

8. FINISHED Something from an Indie Brand – Lunatick Labs- Mystifying Mattifying Pressed Powder

9. FINISHED – Sample- Davines- OI All In One Milk Spray

10. DECLUTTERED Product with Beautiful Packaging – Kat Von D- Por Vida Blush

11.  FINISHED ColourPop Item – Colour Pop’s Overboard Eyeliner.

12. FINISHED Blush –Rimmel- Santa Rose

13. Something in a Stick/Tube- Colour Pop Lippie Stix in Lumiere

I finished this one! This was pretty easy to go through once I started focusing on it. I love the color and formula but I won’t be repurchasing it since it’s a dupe for something I found in my collection (Nars Audacious in Anna).

14. Something You’re Loving Right Now- Colour Pop- Wisp Highlighter

I’m still working on this one and will be rolling it over into next year’s project pan. I love the color and formula of this product. While it’s dried out a little, it’s still totally usable. I considered de-cluttering it since I’ve gotten so much use out of it, I feel like I got my money’s worth. But I’m not quite ready to let it go.

15. Item of Choice- Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette

I am calling this done! I can’t believe I used up almost an entire palette. The reason I’m calling this done is that I’ve used up as much as makes sense for me. I have plenty more black eye shadows and I don’t really wear black eye shadow that much. I’ve only been using it as a smudgy eyeliner and it would take me forever to go through using it that way. I took this photo a bit early but I was able to use up almost all of the white shade as well. The pans on this were surprisingly deep so it took me quite a while to get through them. What really helped was using the lighter matte brown as a bronzer. I think that’s the key to panning a palette, finding multiple ways for using a shadow. Can’t wait to see how the next palette goes.

16. Item in a color you don’t normally wear- Clinique Almost Lipstick – Black Honey

I finished this one as well! Again, easy to go through since it was sheer and required reapplying through the day. I don’t think I’d repurchase this since there’s other tinted balms I like better.

17. FINISHED Product you dislike- Bare Minerals Buttercream Gloss- Sugar

Out of 17 products at the beginning of this project I’ve used up or decluttered 15. I am SO proud and pleased with that progress. I can’t wait to show you guys what I have in store for my 2018 project.

Thanks so much for following along with this journey. I hope you stick around for the next one!

What are you guys planning on panning this year?
